Shelter Animal of the Week: Meet Andy

This shy guy is looking for a good home, preferably one with lots of treats!

Name: Andy

Case Number: 5574

Hi, I'm Andy. I'm a 2-year-old male, terrier mix who is staying at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter in Wantagh, waiting to find my forever home.

I was picked up as a stray and have been here since March 2010. I can be a little shy when I first meet new people, but after a few minutes of sniffing you, I'll warm right up! I also need a little training, but I love treats so as long as you have treats I'm ready to learn with you.

I've already been altered, I'm up-to-date on all my routine shots and I'll be micro-chipped upon adoption. Please come down to the shelter and see me.

To learn how you can adopt Andy, contact the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter in Wantagh at (516) 785-5220. Adoption hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. On Saturday, March 17, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the shelter will host its inaugural “Lucky You, Lucky Me” Pet Adoption Event, during which all adoption fees will be waived.

Just a short thought to get the word out quickly about anything in your neighborhood.
Share something with your neighbors. Write a new post... What's up? Make an announcement, speak your mind, or sell something

Not sure why that happened. May have been a technical error.

Did I really need this anouncement 22 times?

If can get in and out without a problem I would not. I would rather ask them to move their carRead More back. It's not worth making a life long enemy.

Yes my answer was serious.... I gave you different comments regarding your question. The pics youRead More provided is how I based my answer.... Point was did it create an issue for you and does it occur all the time. If it was a one time incident as small as it was you decide?
