Project Hope to Host Hurricane Sandy Children's Program in East Meadow

The arts and craft event will take place at the East Meadow Public Library on Tuesday.

Project Hope will host its children's program, Hurricane Sandy Arts & Crafts, at East Meadow Public Library on Tuesday.

Children ages five to 11 will have the opportunity to create an art project about their experiences during Hurricane Sandy and will be able to share their work with other kids.

Project Hope was created by the New York State Office of Mental Health to assist individuals, families and groups impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

The organization offers free and confidential counseling and public education services to Sandy survivors in New York City and in  Nassau, Suffolk, Rockland and Westchester counties.

The event will take place at the library on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.

The program will also take place on the following dates:

Ages 4-5/Pre-K: Saturdays, June 15 and 29 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Ages 5 –11: Tuesdays, May 28 and June 18 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
