NUMC Doctor to be Awarded by NuHealth Foundation

Dr. Roger Simpson will receive the NuHealth Foundation's Heroes in Health Award

Dr. Roger Simpson, the director of residency training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Nassau University Medical Center, will receive the NuHealth Foundation's Heroes in Health Award in June.

The Merrick resident is  president and a partner at  Long Island Plastic Surgical Group (LIPSG) as well as chief of plastic and reconstructive surgery, director of the burn center and chief of the hand surgery service at NUMC.

“I am particularly honored to be recognized by the NuHealth Foundation,”  Simpson said.  “My work at NUMC has afforded me the ability to ensure that patients from all backgrounds receive the highest standards of care.”

The NuHealth Foundation is the philanthropic entity responsible for generating support for the NuHealth System, which includes NUMC in East Meadow, A Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility in Uniondale and five federally qualified family health centers throughout Nassau County.
