County Executive Edward Mangano and Donna Ceravolo, executive director of Girl Scouts of Nassau County recently honored Christina Mendoza for receiving her Girl Scout Gold Award.
The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award that a Girl Scout could earn.
Earning the award requires a minimum of 80 hours of planning and implementing a challenging, large-scale project that is innovative, engages others, and has a lasting impact on its targeted community with an emphasis on sustainability.
