Hurricane Sandy Benefit Concert to be Held in Eisenhower Park

The free show will take place on June 8.

County Executive Edward Mangano recently announced that Nassau County will host a free Hurricane Sandy benefit concert called "Concert in the Park – Nassau Helping Nassau," in Eisenhower Park's Lakeside Theatre on June 8. 

The concert, will be produced by Bobby G, a Wantagh resident and 9/11 first responder.

“Thousands of Nassau County homes and small businesses were devastated by Hurricane Sandy,” Mangano said. “Concert in the Park brings together many local musicians under one roof to help raise money for the hundreds of families and seniors who are struggling to recover."

Musical performances will include: Billy Joel cover band Big Shot, Michael DelGuidice, Uppercut-- The Ultimate Horn Powered Band, Five Stone, That 70s Band, Rapid Fire, Beatles Cover Band Strawberry Fields, The Slim Kings featuring longtime Billy Joel drummer Liberty DeVitto, Killer Joe and the Lido Soul Revue, the County Line Country Band and Disco Unlimited.

A $10 donation per person is welcome to benefit the Nassau Hurricane Recovery Fund which was setup to assist victims of the storm.  For more information, call (516) 572-0200 or visit www.nassaucountyny.gov/concertinthepark.
