East Meadow Resident Receives Scholarship From NEFCU

Patricia Luberto was awarded a $1,500 for her academic achievements at Molloy College.

Patricia Luberto, an East Meadow resident and Molloy College student was awarded a $1,500 sscholarship through the NEFCU Making a Difference College Scholarship Program for Student Teachers and Graduate Students, for her commitment to the Long Island educational community.

Luberto is majoring in teaching students with disabilities in childhood education, a Special Education field.

“We would like to recognize Patricia for the hard work and dedication she has shown at Molloy College,”  Valerie Garguilo, vice president of Marketing & Community Relations at NEFCU said. “We are proud of the difference Patricia has made in the Long Island community and we are excited to see what her future holds.”

“My graduate experience has been great,” Luberto said. “Molloy College is a wonderful school with an excellent graduate program. My student teaching experience was also great.”

The NEFCU Scholarship Committee recognized four student teachers from Long Island colleges and universities for their  academic achievements.
