Child Identification Program Takes Place in East Meadow

A child safety identification program recently occurred in East Meadow.

According to yoursafechild.com, nearly 2,100 children are reported missing in the US everyday. Many lost and abducted children can be recovered immediately if police are provided with a complete record of identification of the child, the website said.

During the program at Veterans Park, fingerprints and photographs of the children were taken and strands of their hair was submitted to their files. After the event, completed kits were given to parents.
