What Is The Big Deal?

Getting him to replace the toilet paper roll is making me crazy. It's a simple task, and yet, some men refuse to do it!

Some husbands are hard-headed. When they set their minds to something, it is almost impossible for them to change.

Why is it such a big deal to replace the toilet paper roll? If you are the last person who gets to use the last four squares of toilet paper, why aren't you replacing the roll? If you were the last to leave the family room, wouldn't you turn off the TV and then the light? If you ate the last piece of cherry pie, would you not throw out the pie tin or box? I could give more examples, but I won't. There must be something weird about replacing the toilet paper roll, which makes it different from all other tasks. In my husband's mind, it is un-do-able. I am here to find out the WHY.

The new rolls are within close proximity. I mean..you won't be leaving the bathroom to get a new roll. They ARE right there under the vanity. They ARE right there in the towel cabinet. They ARE right there in that plastic, cylindrical thingie that stands by the bowl. For Pete's Sake..it's only an arm's length away!!!

Let's look at this more closely; shall we? Is it taxing to replace the roll? No. Even a youngster can do it. Is it difficult to place the inner tube in to the dispenser? No.  You don't even need your reading glasses to do it. Is it humiliating? Is that it?!! Do you fear reading tomorrow's News headline:  "East Meadow Husband Replaces Toilet Paper Roll"? I promise, darling man, NO ONE will know. I promise to tell no one!! Just do it, and make your wife happy.

::Tapping fingers on computer desk:: Hold on a minute! I just had a revelation. This may be more deep rooted than I first thought. This is all because of your MOTHER, isn't it??!!! You poor man! What did your mother do to you with toilet paper? Did she whack you over the head with a Cottonelle roll?! Did she force you to "squeeze the Charmin?!" Did she threaten to change your last name to Wimple, when you misbehaved? Did she trick you into believing that Scott was the name of a little boy who did not wipe well???!!!

Tell me, dammit! Why don't you replace the toilet paper roll?!

What's to look into? Neil Koenig was the owner. He's good friends with my cousin. My cousin toldRead More me "he couldn't make a go of it." The last time I was there was in December. The food was just ok and the service was horrible. Not one course was correct and we didn't even change anything from the menu description. Note to the waitress, the appetizer is NOT supposed to come for dessert!! And Rich is correct. The name was Buongusto's PieSano's. I hope the new owners (Lia's) stop serving Chocolate Mouse (should be Mousse) as per the sign on the Prospect Avenue side of the building.
