LIPA, FEMA and other Four Letter Words

I am actually surprised at myself for waiting so long.  Yesterday was the first day that I yelled at a LIPA Representative and I apologize, Nancy.  But in my defense.... I have been hearing the same tired response from the LIPA organization since I started calling on Monday 11/5, one week after the storm.  Yes I did wait one week to call, because I figured that my little inconvenience of no power was so much less that the people in the South shore communities.  I decided to wait also because in my wildest dreams I could never fathom being without power for 12 days.  LIPA is a giant!  A Long Island staple!  LIPA would never abandon their customers!  LIPA=LIAR

I also lost it on one of Ed Managno's Representatives as well, but only by email so he may or may not know I was yelling.  But here is the deal: Every person I complain to CLAIMS TO ALSO HAVE NO POWER...Hmmm....I find that hard to believe that even Managno's rep that emailed me from a GMT time zone had no power as well.  Every customer service rep at LIPA also has no power, hmmmm....you had me in the beginning of the week, but now I am on to you!  CHANGE THE SCRIPT!  Tell me when East Meadow is getting the power on.  Here is an idea:  let's make an alphabetical list by town and give a date that town get's power.  That seems to be pretty simple and to the point.  STOP THE LYING!  LIPA=LIAR

As for FEMA you are not going to believe this one.  A friend of mine lost their house in S. Wantagh.  The neighbor called to let them know that FEMA was on the block, hurry up home (you know because they can't live there).  The FEMA woman told them I am not here to inspect your house.   I can only do the one that I am assigned to, then I will head over to Westbury for a house and the hopefully get to Massapequa.  I can't do too many houses in a day, because you see,  I am in a hotel in Pt. Jefferson and have to drive to and from Nassau County every day, drive around Nassau County and I spend a good part of my day waiting on the gas line.  Let me ask you FEMA....REALLY!  You couldn't assign 1 inspector to 1 area on the South Shore? Mary you go to Wantagh today, Joe you will be in Seaford and Tom, Copiague Harbor is all yours! FEMA=DUMB (I really wanted to write IDIOTS but it was too many letters).

These are not the four letter words that any of us have have been thinking but they are the only four letter words that can be printed.  Next week when we have our power back (hopefully) and are all warm and cozy (pray) do not forget.  LIPA should be held responsible, our Representatives should be held responsible, we are responsible for who we make our Representative's.  Everyone is accountable to make sure that we do not have the same representatives at this time next year and the head of LIPA is working in a some little electric company in Alaska as a dispatcher.

Stay Warm!

What's to look into? Neil Koenig was the owner. He's good friends with my cousin. My cousin toldRead More me "he couldn't make a go of it." The last time I was there was in December. The food was just ok and the service was horrible. Not one course was correct and we didn't even change anything from the menu description. Note to the waitress, the appetizer is NOT supposed to come for dessert!! And Rich is correct. The name was Buongusto's PieSano's. I hope the new owners (Lia's) stop serving Chocolate Mouse (should be Mousse) as per the sign on the Prospect Avenue side of the building.
