Christmas Spirit 'Lights' Up East Meadow

5th Street resident Ulisse Cimaglia has been going all out with his holiday displays for the past 15 years.

The lights go on every night at sundown and if you're driving down 5th Street in East Meadow you can't miss them.

Ulisse Cimaglia lives for this stuff and it takes about a week to perfect his festive holiday display.

Cimaglia's son, Anthony, said his Dad has been decorating "seriously" for the past 15 years. "People love to pass and pose. We encourage it," he said.

Anthony, now 30, is married with a child on the way. His sister has two children and they are always eager to lend a hand.

"He loves decorating for us and he also goes crazy during Halloween too," Anthony said. "I hope one day to keep the tradition alive long after he is gone."

For Anthony, his favorite part of the process is walking across the street to admire the elaborate display. "We both smile and take a deep breath," he said.
