On Thursday night, locals flocked to Veterans Memorial Park for some carols, a visit from Santa Claus and some overall holiday cheer.
Kids waited in line for their chance to meet Jolly Ol' St. Nick just one more time before Christmas arrived, as they made sure he knew what was on their Christmas lists.
"I hope all of you have been nice and not naughty," Legis. Norma Gonsalves, R-East Meadow, said. "I wish you all the happiest and healthiest holiday season."
There was also hot chocolate to keep the hands warm and a face painter for the little ones.
