NuHealth’s David Nemiroff Participates in Adelphi Lecture

"Medical Centers Meeting Community Health Needs" is second in a lecture series on Public Health in the Suburbs.

David Nemiroff, vice president of care transitions at NuHealth, recently participated in Adelphi University’s lecture series.

“Medical Centers Meeting Community Health Needs” is the second in a lecture series on Public Health in the Suburbs presented by Adelphi's Center for Health Innovation.

The session is aimed at understanding the many pathways by which healthcare providers on Long Island monitor and seek to improve community health outside the clinical setting.

Among those in attendance were: Dr. Philip Alcabes, professor of public health and director of the MPH Program, Adelphi University; Christine Hendriks, vice president, public and external affairs, Catholic Health Services of Long Island; Barbara George, EdD, RCEP, MSN, RN, director, Center for Cardiovascular Lifestyle Medicine, Winthrop-University Hospital; Nemiroff, LCSW, vice president, care transitions, NuHealth Family Health Centers Long Island Federally Qualified Health Center, Inc.; and Nancy Copperman, MS, RD, CDN, director of public health initiatives, Office of Community and Public Health for North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System, and also an assistant professor of Population Health at Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine.
