East Meadow natives write a book on the baby boomer generation: Sharon Sultan Cutler and Cookie Tischler are writing "Once Upon Our Times," a book about growing up during the baby boomer generation. The two have launched a fundraising campaign to help complete the book which will be released in early 2013.

2.East Meadow woman wins Jeopardy! shows: Penny Citrola, an East Meadow native, won Jeopardy! shows on Tuesday and Wednesday, totaling $26,800.

1.: Residents who live near Nassau University Medical Center have put in a request for residential parking permits to stop the problem.

My mother, who has been an East Meadow resident since 1953 was on Jeopardy back in the day when it was filmed in NYC and aired at noon and jeopardy went from $10 to $50 and double jeopardy was $20 to $100. She missed being champion by $20 but everyone kept their winnings and she won $520.
