Resident Seeking Donations to Help Pay For Dog's Surgery

Harley, a French Bulldog has been diagnosed with a herniated disc.

Harley is a 2-year-old French Bulldog diagnosed with a herniated disc in her back. Her owners are seeking donations to help fund the pup's surgery.

Melissa Kull created a fundraising page Jan. 8 to help reach the $1,000 goal. To date, $120 has been raised.

French bulldogs are prone to back problems and the herniated disc in Harley's back can actually stop the signal from the brain to her back legs, according to Kull.

Harley visited three veterinarians before being diagnosed.

"Normally I am stubborn and try not to ask for help, but this was a very expensive surgery," Kull wrote on the gofundme.com page.

"We are calling on our friends and family for whatever help we can get. Thank you and we appreciate the help, every little bit counts. Most of all Harley appreciates your help because she can now live a happy and healthy puppy life."
