NUMC Seeks Volunteers

Volunteers must commit to at least four hours per week.

Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) is seeking volunteers who can lend a hand a few hours each week to benefit patients and visitors.

The medical center's volunteer department oversees hundreds of volunteers and junior volunteers who provide assistance in selected areas.

Anyone interested in volunteering should be 14 years of age or older; a physical is required prior to acceptance. Volunteers must commit to at least four hours per week.

Although they will be placed according to need, the volunteer department makes an effort to match volunteers’ interests and skills with their assigned jobs, according to NUMC. Bilingual volunteers are also welcome.
