During a recent "Holiday of Giving" event in Hempstead, NuHealth/NUMC staff was invited to present information about health services to the community, such as bariatric surgery, diabetes, dental, ophthalmology, psychiatry, maternal-fetal health and the Family Health Centers.
Blood pressure screenings were also provided. Staff promoted NUMC's injury prevention program, where home safety, fall prevention, safe driving, helmet use and bicycle safety, along with poison control safety, were discussed.
