Kiwanis Funds Interactive Learning Tool for EM Schools

The funds will enable the school district to purchase a Smart Table for K-3 students, including those with special needs.

East Meadow Kiwanis president Debbie Kirsh recently presented a $7,500 check to superintendent of schools Lou DeAngelo and Board of Education president Joe Parisi to help the East Meadow School District purchase a Smart Table, an electronic, interactive learning center for K-3 students, including those with special needs.

The device engages children in active discussions, problem-solving and small group collaboration activities, and is designed to help them grow together, both socially and academically.
