Assemblyman Michael A. Montesano is hosting a dedication event at the Hicksville VFW on Monday, November 14, 2011. At the end of this year’s legislative session, both houses passed a measure that would designate the Northern State Parkway as the “Purple Heart Way.”
On August 4, it was signed into law by Governor Cuomo in an effort to honor local military veterans who have served so valiantly for their country. This event is to honor the dedication of the “Purple Heart Way” with local veterans.
