Nassau Community College, in conjunction with Nassau University Medical Center, invites members of the community to participate in its 16th Annual Midwinter Blood Drive. The event will take place on Jan. 19 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the 11th floor of the Tower Building on the NCC campus.
This is a critical time of year when blood supplies are traditionally low but the demand for blood is high. NCC holds six drives a year to encourage participation in this worthy and vital program.
Dr. Arthur Friedman, Co-Chair of the NCC Blood Drive Task Force, said in a press release, "At Nassau Community College we take our community services responsibilities seriously. We hope our efforts will help meet a substantial level of the community's blood needs. We look forward to working in partnership with community residents in this much needed blood drive."
