Knit and Talk Breast Cancer Support Group

Adelphi University's Statewide Breast Cancer program will be offering new support groups of the summer of 2011. The different sessions offered are as follows:

• Women with breast cancer: meets Tuesdays for 8 weeks from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. starting Jul. 5.
• Women with breast cancer: meets Thursdays for 8 weeks from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. starting Jul. 7.
• Women with metastatic breast cancer: meets Thursdays for 8 weeks from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. starting Jul. 7.
• Monthly knit and talk group for those with breast cancer: meets from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Jul. 12 and Aug. 9.

All sessions are free of charge, but registration is required. Call Sandi Kafenbaum at (516) 877-4314 for additional information or to sign up for the sessions. All groups meet at the Adelphi University School of Social Work.

Additionally, other groups for partners, spouses, teens, couple and men with breast cancer are also available with a special request.
