Nassau Community College and the Nassau University Medical Center will be holding a blood drive at the school on May 24 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The "celebrate summer" blood drive looks to replenish the supply in a season when demand is typically high, according to a press release from the school. NCC holds blood drives six times a year.
The whole donation process take less than an hour. Donors must be 17 years of age and in general good health. Everyone should bring photo ID and it is suggested that donors eat beforehand, even though small snacks will be provided after.
