SIMON FASHION NOW® ARRIVES AT ROOSEVELT FIELD ON OCTOBER 11 & 12

On Friday, October 11 and
Saturday, October 12, Simon Property
Group, Inc. (NYSE:SPG) will bring free, high-energy runway shows to shoppers at
Roosevelt Field with Simon Fashion Now® presented by Winthrop-University
Hospital Breast Health Center. This dynamic celebration of style
spotlights must-have trends for fall from fashionable Roosevelt Field retailers.

Unlike the fashion industry shows that preview styles unavailable
for several months, Simon Fashion Now makes the hottest men and women’s
fashions of the season accessible; every look from the runway can be
immediately found at retailers within the mall.



New this year, Simon Fashion Now
at Roosevelt Field will partner
with SAME SKY, a fair-trade initiative that offers employment to women living
with HIV/AIDS in Sub Saharan Africa. Trained as artisans, SAME SKY women earn
15 to 20 times the average wage to hand-crochet beautiful glass bead jewelry. One
hundred percent of all net-proceeds from the sale of SAME SKY jewelry directly affect
the lives of Rwanda genocide survivors.

Roosevelt Field will host a trunk
show featuring SAME SKY jewelry on Friday, October 11 during Trends & Friends Night, in conjunction
with Simon Fashion Now.

Simon Fashion Now events begin at
Roosevelt Field on Friday, October 11, at 1 p.m. with Design Wars, an
interactive fashion competition between Nassau Community College students.  Eight young women ages 16 to 21 from Long
Island Arts Alliance’s Scholar Artist program will serve as models for eight
student competitors, who are challenged to create “fashionable art” inspired by
pieces/collections by famed artists such as Jackson Pollack, Edouard Manet, Erté, and more. 
They will vie for top design honors in this exciting version of runway
reality.

Later that evening, Trends & Friends Night will take
place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Roosevelt Field. The free evening will include
show-stopping presentations of fall’s hottest looks, product displays, demonstrations
and interactive beauty and style consultations from Roosevelt Field retailers
including Aveda, Bare Minerals, Caché, Carol’s Daughter, L’Occitane, The Body
Shop, and more.  Guests will be treated
to light bites from Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, Bobby’s Burger Palace, Havana
Central, La Bottega and Season’s 52.




Trends & Friends Night runway fashion shows will take place at 6:30
and 7:30 p.m.
The 6:30 p.m. show will exclusively feature fall styles from
Bloomingdale’s and the 7:30 p.m. runway show will include looks from Ann
Taylor, Bachrach, Carlo Pazolini, C.Wonder, Everything but Water, Joe Fresh,
Juicy Couture, Nike and Robert Graham.

During Trends & Friends
Night, guests can participate in fundraising elements to benefit Long Island
Arts Alliance (LIAA), a collegial network of the region’s
not-for-profit arts and arts education organizations, promoting awareness of
and participation in Long Island's world-class arts and cultural
institutions. 



All Trends & Friends Night activities are open
to the public and free of charge
.



Simon Fashion Now continues on Saturday, October 12 with high-energy runway fashion shows scheduled to take
the stage at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. The shows will introduce fall looks
from jcpenney, Macy’s, Francesca’s Collections, adidas, White House | Black
Market, Lucky Brand, Wet Seal, Tilly’s, bebe, GUESS and more. At 1:30 p.m.,
attendees can view the latest footwear styles during a special shoe trend show
featuring Aerosoles, Rockport, ECCO, Call it Spring and Uno de 50.  At 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. shoppers won’t
want to miss out on Ready, Set, Style!, an interactive styling competition.
Audience participants will compete for a chance to win the season’s hottest
accessory – a Simon Giftcard®.



Throughout the day, shoppers can
visit Style Stops where advice and insight into the season’s trends
will be offered in an interactive format. Every hour between 12 noon to 4 p.m.
guests can register to win fabulous prizes from the mall’s premier retailers
during the Runway Giveaway.



“All of the looks featured on the Simon Fashion Now runway showcase
the quality that can be experienced at each of Roosevelt Field’s retailers
and are available for purchase that same day,” said Jacqué Ellis, vice president of corporate special events at Simon.
