International Classic Rock Fans go Beyond the Pale in Westbury, NY
The band that gave the
world “A Whiter Shade of Pale” almost 50 years ago is still skipping “the light
fandango” and so are its diehard fans, who are coming from as far away as Oman
to hear them in Westbury, NY, on Saturday, July 12 and to party at the first Procol Harum convention on the east
coast.
Fans are really going
beyond the “Pale” and traveling from as far as Norway, Britain, and all over
the United States, including California, Kansas, Texas and Florida, to enjoy
Procol and celebrate the band’s illustrious career with a day-long party at Mirelle’s of Westbury, just down the block from
the band’s show at The Space.
The “In Held 'Twas N.Y.”
convention will include food, drink, and fun, as well as music from two Procol
tribute bands: Broken Barricades, from New York, and the Palers’ Band, an
international musical ensemble.
