On December 11th, I will seeking re-election to the position of Fire Commissioner of the East Meadow Fire District. I have served faithfully and dutifully these past five years, applying my combined experience in pre-hospital emergency medical care and firefighting, as well as budget and finance, in order to provide the residents of East Meadow with the best possible service. It is with this in mind that I ask for your support in allowing me to continue to serve.
As a life-long resident of East Meadow, I have been a volunteer with the fire department, serving as both a paramedic and firefighter, for over 20 years. I have been an active member of our community, training hundreds of residents in CPR and First Aid. I assisted the East Meadow School District is establishing their defibrillator program, coordinated our community's blood drives, established the vial of life program and ran our Hurricane Sandy Relief Drive.
While on the Board, I have assisted in upgrading our dispatch center with state of the art equipment which handled over 400 emergency calls through Hurricane Sandy, recovered over $15,000 in grant monies to aid in the purchase of new and advanced ECG machines, gear, apparatus, and the latest in firefighting equipment, while remaining ever vigilant in ensuring that the resident's tax dollars are spent in the best interests of the community and fire department.
Please help me continue to serve you and the members of the East Meadow Fire Department by casting your vote on December 11th.
