East Meadow residents will hit the polls Tuesday, Nov. 5 to elect representatives in the general election.

Information for East Meadow residents on Election Day:

Who is Eligible to Vote?

To vote, in the general and primary elections, you must be a registered voter. To register, you must be a US citizen, be 18 years old by the date of the election in which you are voting, live at your current address for at least 30 days before the election, not be in jail or on parole for a felony conviction, and not claim the right to vote elsewhere. When Are Polls Open and Where Do I Vote? 

The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Residents can find their polling locations at the board of elections website.

Results will be posted online as soon as they are available.

Also on the ballot is a referendum to build seven casinos in the state.
