Where/When: Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m.
Why Go: Special ticket, merchandise and food packages are available, courtesy of Nathan’s. A great way to spend your Friday night with friends or family. Plus, the Isles are taking on Pittsburgh--sure to be an exciting game!
Pricing: All plans are $49.
Where/When: Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Why Go: Any art fan surely will be impressed by this exhibition, which documents the artist's work and unique style. Avery was a key player on the art scene in the first half of the 20th century.
Pricing: Adults $10; Seniors $8; Children $4; Members free.
Where/When: Garden City High School, Feb. 12 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go: A fun day for a great cause! There will be an array of vendors, including those for skin care, hair, yoga and more. All proceeds from the event go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Pricing: $8 with an RSVP, $10 at the door.
Where/When: , Feb. 12 from 7 to 11 p.m.
Why Go: This a great way to escape winter and go on a far away voyage...at least for a night. "Cruise wear" is encouraged and there will be a variety of international foods and many games to play.
Pricing: Tickets are $36.
Where/When: , Feb. 13 at 2 p.m.
Why Go: Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the Defibrillators will bring their talent to delight audiences at the library. Known for their “rockin’ blues band” feel doused with a sense of humor, they will be performing their own original material.
Pricing: Free.
