Patch Picks: Where to Celebrate Valentine’s Day in East Meadow

1. : Unassuming from the outside, Yuzu has a contemporary and sleek décor, perfect for a quiet Valentine’s Day dinner. One of the first Japanese restaurants in East Meadow, they offer a large variety of traditional and modern cuisine. Servers are attentive and dinner presentation is spectacular--sure to impress any date.

2. Nestled right on East Meadow Avenue sits La Novella, a favorite among many local dinners. A cozy and friendly atmosphere will welcome you with open arms and the rich food options will leave you completely satisfied. Peacefully decorated, and the pleasant staff lends itself perfectly to a lovely Valentine’s date spot.

3. Family owned and operated, Spumante features murals of old Italian villages--certain to set the Valentine’s Day mood. Archways provide some privacy for dinners and dim lighting lends itself well to those looking for a romantic setting. The owners pride themselves on their authentic Italian cuisine and fine desserts.

4. For all of those meat lovers, Majors offers a down home feel (complete with checkered table cloths!) and some outrageously great steaks. Creamed spinach, mashed potatoes and an array of steaks blanket the menu, ensuring a filling Valentine’s Day. Reservations are recommended.

5. The ultimate local romantic spot, this world-renowned restaurant features several ornate rooms to dine in, including the Gatsby Room, Wine Cellar, Grand Ballroom and many more. The Carltun will be offering a special Valentine’s day dinner, $100 per person, with many chances for appetizers, entrees, salads and desserts. Reservations are highly recommended.
