Sixteen days after Hurricane Sandy hit Long Island, 453 customers are still without power as of 12:30 p.m., according to LIPA.

Residents expressed their anger and frustration toward LIPA on East Meadow Patch's Facebook page , saying that they feel abandoned by the company and that have not been given straight answers after spending days in cold and dark homes with small children and pets.
