Summer Reading Program for Older Teens and Young Adults

Collegiate Summer Reading Program at the East Meadow Public Library

After last summer's successful “Soak Up a Good Read”, a summer reading program for high school graduates and young adults through age 23, Young Adult Services is continuing this program for the summer of 2011.  Our 2011 theme is Novel Destinations. High school graduates and young adults through age 24 may register online at the East Meadow Public Library webpage beginning Monday, May 16, 2011.

Registration is simple, just give the Library a few items of information about you, select a username and a password, receive your login information and start reading.  You will be able to enter your reviews beginning Monday June 13, 2011.  Sample reviews can be seen on the Novel Destinations homepage.

This year there are four prize levels, one for every three book reports through the first 12 reports.  These incentives are little items for your summer fun at home or away.  We will also have an End-of-Summer Raffle.  For every three books read, you will receive a raffle ticket.  There is no limit to how many books you may read.
