View Finder: Eisenhower Park Craft and Gift Show

People packed into Eisenhower Park on Saturday to buy and sell products.

The third annual craft and gift show was held in on Saturday, and beautiful weather helped bring out a lot of potential customers.

Artisans and craftsmen proudly displayed their unusual array of products.

Gina Goettelman, the owner of “ Romantic Flames,” was enthused by the great feedback she was receiving on her colorful candle arrangements. A large display of exquisite Swarovski crystal boxes, night lights and trinkets  followed. The 24 karat gold-plated hand-blown items glistened in the bright sunlight.

“Business is great and there seems to be a very lively crowd,” said owner Paula Carey. Photographer Doug Weldon displayed amazing photographs, mostly taken from his extensive trips through Maine and the Carolinas, and occasional trips to various parts of Europe.

Making our way through the fair we encountered everything from massage therapy with Andrew Kress to Tasty Pet Treats and John Latuga. Latuga has been at the fair since its inception and he describes it as “always a good show.” Face painting artist Maura Kelley preferred the spring or fall. Hot weather is not optimal for her craft.

The Sunday portion of the fair was canceled due to inclement weather.
