On Jan. 27, the celebrated the arrival of the new officers into office at Chateau Briand in Westbury.
Millie Jones was sworn in as the new President of the Chamber, while Dolores Rome was named First Vice President, Steve Haller was named Second Vice President, Mitchell Allen was bestowed as the new treasurer and Paul Telese was welcomed as the new secretary.
"I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all who came out to celebrate a new year for our Chamber by honoring me as your president, the incoming Board of Directors and our Woman of the Year," Millie Jones said. "Your presence and support were truly appreciated."
After the cocktail hour, representatives from all walks of East Meadow life packed into the dining room, where outgoing Presidents Peter Cipriano Jr. and Walter Skinner were honored, and Janine Kelly was named person of the year. Kelly was also greeted with an extra surprise as longtime boyfriend Joe Salerno after seven years of dating.
