Librarians play detective, collar bandit peddling their books on Ebay
A book thief who had allegedly been stealing expensive reference books from libraries for years and selling them for a tidy profit on Ebay finally messed with the wrong librarian.
Working hand-in-hand with the Nassau County Police Department, the super-sleuth staff members at the East Meadow Public Library pieced together the identity of the mystery thief, eventually gathering enough evidence to put the fiend behind bars.
Patch recently interviewed the library staff responsible for collaring the diabolical "book crook."
