Sample the best cuisine Long Island has to offer, including hometown favorites in East Meadow. Local restaurants, bakeries, confectioners and wine and beer shops will be showcased during the eleventh annual event.

This year's goal is to raise money for the Nassau University Medical Center Pediatric Department, Fight Against Autism, Kiwanis Club of East Meadow Kamp Kiwanis, Juvenile Diabetes and The Epilepsy Foundation of Long Island.

Tickets, priced at $50 per person, are available at Taste of Honey Bakery and Sweet Shop, 1992 North Jerusalem Rd. in North Bellmore (486-1670, ask for Rose Fuger); East Meadow Florist, 2326 Hempstead Tpke. in East Meadow (794-0020, ask for Chris Hackert); and Empress Diner, 2490 Hempstead Tpke. in East Meadow (796-0858, ask for Michael Panagatos).

Admission is limited to 500 guests to assure a “Five Star” affair, according to the East Meadow Chamber of Commerce. Local participating businesses will receive a Certificate of Appreciation and Support from the East Meadow Chamber of Commerce. There is no charge for businesses to take part in the event but the chamber asks that they contribute a basket toward the raffle.

A Chinese Auction and musical entertainment will round out the night.

Culinary Delight kicks off at 6 p.m. Sept. 30. For information, contact Adrian Campodonico at 458-4241 or Will Miranda at 731-7171. Tickets are $50 per person and casual business attire is recommended.
