Rival Hooters Chain Eyeing East Meadow Location
Canz looking at taking over the space that most recently housed Hooters.
After Hooters closed in East Meadow last year, the building could reportedly re-open as Canz, a similarly-themed establishment to Hooters, according to the Long Island Business News.
The Canz-a-city Roadhouse chain operates four other locations currently, and will reportedly be bidding on the building as it goes up for public auction on April 30.
In addition, the growing chain – which opened its first location in Westbury in 2009 – plans on taking over an abandoned Hooters in Islandia.
