Meadow Commons Continues to Usher in New Businesses

Shopping center on East Meadow Avenue still offer vacant storefronts to possible entrepreneurs.

While the nation’s current economic woes continue to weave a web of uncertainty among local businesses, that doesn’t appear to be stopping entrepreneurs from taking a shot at success.

Meadow Commons, a shopping center located on East Meadow Avenue that was constructed six months ago, already boasts several tenants with more on the way; the most recent addition, according to the landlord, has rented space located at 537, the far right storefront of Meadow Commons.

“The right corner store has been rented for a pharmacy,” he said. “That should be coming soon.”

Meadow Commons possesses seven storefronts, and is home to several businesses, including a nail spa, a veterinary clinic and a pet store.

However, the landlord was quick to point out that the second storefront from the right corner, at 535 East Meadow Ave. is still up for grabs for anyone interested in opening their own business.

“The property is about 1,000 square feet,” he said. “The rent is about $2,500 a month, and I’m giving two months free to set up the store.”

Currently, the landlord said that there are no interested parties looking into renting the space at 535 East Meadow Ave., but he hopes that will change soon. Anyone interested in more information on the property can call  (516) 270-6800 to speak with the landlord directly.
