Mangano Eyes New Skating Rinks for Eisenhower Park

The project would be privately funded, with the County netting a piece of the profits.

Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano is looking to have two indoor skating rinks installed at in East Meadow, according to Newsday.

The idea would be to have a private funder for the project that would handle all of the costs, and the County would net some of the profits.

"The county would spend no money on this project, but enter into a revenue-sharing agreement with the operators to generate additional revenue to help the county hold the line on property taxes," Mangano spokesman Brian Nevin told Newsday.
