Located at 2373 Hempstead Tpke., the former Prudential Real Estate building has been vacant for months.
Jay Kumar, manager of the adjacent Blimpie, said that the storefront has been closed since June.
"I have been here for 10 years and it has always been a Prudential," he said. "I can't think of anything else moving in there unless it was another insurance company."
Jesse Gultz, manager of the nearby Pearle Vision, said that he thinks that the spot will be difficult to fill because it is located between two eateries--Blimpie and the vacant Kansas City Smokehouse.
"I want to see something go in there and I hope it is not another gold buyer," he said. "Maybe another insurance company will work."
