EM Small Businessperson of the Year Honored at Annual Breakfast

Warren Kalmenson has lived in town for nearly 40 years and his business, Wellcare Financial Planning Services, Inc., has been located on Hilton Avenue in Hempstead for nearly 30 years.

East Meadow resident Warren Kalmenson was honored Friday at the Nassau Council of Chambers 28th annual Small Businessperson of the Year and Legislative Breakfast held at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.

Kalmenson owns Wellcare Financial Planning Services, Inc. and is licensed in New York, New Jersey, Florida and Washington, D.C. He is a 25-year member of the East Meadow Chamber of Commerce and has served as past president. He is also active in community affairs, including East Meadow Kiwanis.

He's lived in East Meadow for nearly 40 years and his business has been located on Hilton Avenue in Hempstead for nearly 30 years.

Town of Hempstead supervisor Kate Murray, clerk Nasrin Ahmad and 
Town councilman Gary Hudes presented Kalmenson with a citation, as did county executive Ed Mangano. East Meadow Chamber of Commerce president Dolores Rome, who nominated Kalmenson for the award, was also on hand to congratulate him on the honor.

Rome said she nominated Kalmenson because he is a "dedicated and devoted person." "I picked Warren because he has always been involved with the chamber even after his reign as president," she said.
