Former Massage Parlor Remains Vacant

Possible new tenants coming soon, says real estate broker.

Unfortunately, East Meadow has more than its fair share of empty businesses.

514A East Meadow Ave. is one such example with its shades drawn and its sign turned backwards. The vacant storefront is just one of several blighting the busy roadway.

However, an agent of Prime Realty said that her firm is actively seeking new renters for the property, which is primed and ready to be renovated to accommodate any number of businesses.

“Right now, it’s basically a vanilla box,” she said. “It’s just 1,000 square feet of open space. There’s a separate wall in the back where there’s a bathroom and a closet with a safe. It’s totally open right now.”

The agent said that the store has seen many tenants come and go throughout the years.

“There have been quite a few businesses there,” she said. “The last one was a massage and acupuncture spa.”

According to Prime Realty, there are currently several interested parties who are looking to perhaps take over the store and establish a new business in the East Meadow community.

“We have a florist that’s possibly interested, as well as a liquor store,” the agent said. “The landlord is willing to work with anyone on the rent. He’s a really good landlord.”

Interested parties in this commercial location can contact Prime Realty at 516-579-6600.

What do you think should fill the vacant storefront? Tell us in the comments below.

Yeah sure, he's a great landlord. Rented a sleazy illegal message parlor for several years. Great guy!

randy, try Mama Yogurt on Hempstead turnpike near Guissepes. They have very good self serve frozen yogurt and toppings and the store is immaculate. Owners are very friendly.

Two Frozen Yogurt places just opened in East Meadow.... Unless you open a business that does not require street traffic only, or a specialty shop it may work. Lower rent equates to low visibility for street traffic sales...

I have been to both locations: or you can try Crazy Yogurt in the shopping center where Texas Roadhouse is located.... Yogurt is firm everytime, and staff speaks english. Just saying....

Your kidding Paul, did you speak to the owners at Mama Yogurt? They are asian but they speak english. I guess you looked in the store and saw asians and ran away just like Brooklyn.

To Frank T: You are too funny. I will entertain you, I did walk in and purchased about 4 times since it opened, went at night, wonder if a bell goes off in the back when someone walks in because the employees who are asain as you say, come running out of the back like little ____________ you fill in the blank....... Owners, yikes how many are there???? I give the location 12 - 15 months.. "Rent is to damn high" for the amount of sales he may have.. On a scale of 1 - 10 yogurts I give Mama a 4.5 overall rating and Yogurt Crazy 8.5 overall..... JUST SAYING...

And Frank it shows you know very little about Brooklyn.. BROOKLYN ROCKS... Sheepshead Bay, Manhattan Beach, Coney Island, Bensonhurst... etc May be adding trendy Williamsburg to my list too.... I split my time between both..... BROOKLYN ROCKS LONG ISLAND (declines)

I find it hard to believe that you live in such a diverse community as Brooklyn and when you see asians in East Meadow you get all bent out of shape.

I never said that when I see a person of asian descent I get bent out of shape... All I did was point out that they are of asian descent..... PERIOD.... It seems you needed a reality check. Glad I was able to help you...
