East Meadow Eateries Offer Deals for Veterans

Special offers for those who served.

Many local men and women have dedicated their time and effort to protect the freedom that Americans enjoy, and some East Meadow eateries want to say thank you with special deals for Veterans Day.

"It's a great gesture for the men and women in the armed forces," Walter Skinner, the president of the East Meadow Chamber of Commerce, said. "It's a local business' way to give back."

One of the businesses offering a deal is Veterans who mention "Patch" will be entitled to 20 percent off of their entire order.

"We know what they do for us," Owner Luigi Prudente said. "We could do a little bit for them."

Another place offering a unique opportunity is Usually closed until dinnertime, Veterans will be offered a special menu from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and they eat for free.

"My partner and I talked about doing something for the veterans," Owner Keith DeLuise said. "I feel like, in today's world, many people take for granted what they really do for us."
