The East Meadow Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated the grand openings of three businesses in East Meadow:
- MAB Fine Wines and Spirits: Owned byJay Steinmetz, the business closed its doors in November 2011 after 55 years in business, but reopened in May 2012.
- Wild Cherryz Dance and Fitness Studio: Owned by professional dancer and fitness trainer, Elizabeth DeGennaro, Wild Cherryz Dance and Fitness Studio opened in September. The dance studio offers a number of classes, which include Ballet Bar Fitness, Pole Dancing, Boxing, Burlesque, Yoga, Zumba and Cardio Hip Hop Funk for Kids.
- Jake's Wayback Burgers: With 27 restaurants located throughout the mid-Atlantic, the eatery opened in East Meadow in 2011. It is owned by Sanjeev Kumar.
