The East Meadow Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at Muscle Maker Grill Saturday.

The eatery opened Nov. 1 at 2565 Hempstead Turnpike.

Founded in 1995 by Rod Silva, a fitness enthusiast who wanted to offer people a nutritious alternative to fast food, the restaurant offers a "Lighter Side" menu of salads and wraps for under 400 calories. Heart healthy soups and "Fit Salads" are also available, like the Lean & Mean Cheeseburger Salad and the Mardi Gras Cajun Grilled Chicken Salad. Vegetarian, carb-free and gluten-free meals are also offered.

The ribbon cutting will be held at 10 a.m.
