Best Yet Market Coming to East Meadow

Best Yet Market officials have confirmed plans to open in East Meadow.

The store, which opened its first Long Island location in 1994 in Lake Ronkonkoma, also has LI locations in Coram, Farmingdale, Franklin Square, East Northport, Hicksville, Huntington Station, Massapequa, New Hyde Park, Oakdale, East Patchogue, Riverhead, Shirley, West Babylon and West Islip.

They plan to move in at 1980 Hempstead Turnpike, which was the former home of Pearl Paint. Officials told Patch they plan on opening by the spring.

"The area has great traffic flow," Jonathan Sender, the Vice President of Marketing and Advertising for Best Yet Market, said. "There are a lot of businesses nearby. The town is in need of a fresh market with wholesome foods at affordable prices."

The location is 30,600 square feet on an 11-acre lot, which features about 450 parking spaces, according to LoopNet.com. Situated in between the Wantagh and Meadowbrook Parkways, this is a well-traveled area of Hempstead Turnpike.
