Strong Island Music Festival Coming to East Meadow

Disco diva Gloria Gaynor will perform at Eisenhower Park’s Lakeside Theatre as part of the “We Will Survive” Strong Island Music Festival Saturday, Oct. 19, Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano.

The festival begins at 12:30 p.m. Bands will perform on three different stages located around Eisenhower Park's Field 6 and 6a. Gloria Gaynor takes the stage at 6 p.m. at the Lakeside Theatre. Admission is free.

The festival, presented by New York Music & Events Group, will also include a Long Island historical interactive area featuring several Long Island historical societies and museums and a craft and gift show, Mangano said.

A portion of the corporate proceeds will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Nassau County Hurricane Sandy Relief and the Nassau County Police Fallen Officers – Widows and Orphans Fund.
