Robert Davi to Sing Sinatra at Lakeside Theatre

The actor and jazz singer will pay tribute to Sinatra, the Great American Song Book and America Friday.

American actor and jazz singer Robert Davi returns to Long Island Friday to pay tribute to Frank Sinatra at Eisenhower Park's Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre.

Davi, who attended Seton Hall, a Catholic High School in Patchogue, and later graduated from Hofstra University, has had roles in hit movies like "Die Hard," "License to Kill" and "Goonies."

He recorded his first album at the famous Capitol Records Building in Hollywood, where Sinatra often recorded his hit songs. The album "Davi Sings Sinatra — On The Road To Romance" was released in October 2011.

The free concert begins at 7 p.m. Comedian Mike Marino is the opening act.

More than a concert, Davi's reflective program (which includes snippets of well-placed dialog to supplement the music) is designed to return his audience to Sinatra’s music of the 40s and 50s, timeless to this day, Nassau County executive Ed Mangano said.

The Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre is located in Eisenhower Park, Hempstead Turnpike and Stewart Avenue, near parking fields 6 and 6A. Lakeside Theatre is a venue with no formal seating so concertgoers are urged to bring folding chairs or blankets. Special accommodations are available for disabled patrons, including reserved parking, easily accessible restrooms and a convenient reserved location on the hill. Assistive hearing devices are also available upon request for the hearing impaired. For further info, contact the Parks Public Information Office at 572-0200 or visit www.nassaucountyny.gov/parks.
