Photo of the Day: Evan and Emily Carroll Receive Reflections Award

The duo wooed the judges with their dance skills.

Evan and Emily Carroll, who were with a first place prize in the New York State Reflections contest for their prowess with ballroom dancing, received their certificates on April 18 at Brookside School in North Merrick.

The duo also came in second place in the contest for East Meadow's

Congratulations! Your entry is a finalist in the 2011-2012 Nassau Region PTA Reflections Program. Our judges, using their expertise, selected your work of art for its originality and interpretation of the theme “Diversity Means” as one of our finest from over eleven hundred entries received by Nassau Region PTA from students throughout the county.

"The kids performed the same dance at at the second variety concert on March 24 to a standing ovation," John Carroll, the young duo's father, said. "Our kids were called the future "dancing with the stars" couple by the audience."
