Preserving Sagamore Hill
The Sagamore Hill National Historic Site will be closing this fall for extensive renovation that will take up to two years to complete. Before closing it's doors for the renovations to begin, there will be a special "Preserve Sagamore Hill" presentation at The Community Church of East Williston on September 25th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Speaking at the event will be Amy Verone, Curator at the Sagamore Hill National Historic Site, where she will discuss the history of the house, the Roosevelts, and planned renovations. Theodore Roosevelt and his family lived in this house for many decades, and their home is unique for having so many original furnishings.
Guests are welcome to attend; invite your friends. Refreshments will be served after the program.
