ArtVentures Summer Art Classes

Summer Art Classes for Ages 5-7 and Ages 8-12

Gorgeous grounds, trails, gardens and more than 35 outdoor sculptures are just part of the classroom for ArtVentures 2012, Nassau County Museum of Art’s two three-week sessions of summer exploration and art work beginning on July 9 and again, on July 30. Students enrolled in ArtVentures will have the opportunity to create and explore on the museum’s extensive art-filled 145 acres of grounds and nature preserve, in the museum’s free-standing Art Studio building, and in the galleries of the museum’s main building.

Classes are held Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. including a half-hour lunch break. Art Exploration, for ages 5-7, is taught by Robin Iovino. Art from Nature, for ages 8-12, is taught by Kristen Conaty. Session I of Art Exploration and Art from Nature runs from July 9-July 27. Session II runs from July 30-August 17.

The per-child fee for each three-week ArtVentures session is $850 (museum members, $750) plus a $40 materials fee.
