What do you do for a living? I am an Information Security Analyst for a Local Financial Institution, and I am the Chief of the

How else are you involved with East Meadow? I am currently serving as the Chief of Department for the East Meadow Volunteer Fire Department and I am also a resident.

What’s the best thing about East Meadow? It’s a great community, and is centrally located on Long Island, putting you not far from any specific point, whether it’s the city or going out east. It is loaded with great places to shop, eat at and also boasts a great school system.

How did you end up in East Meadow? Although I was born in San Diego California, because my father was a career Navy Man, he and my mom were one of the first residents buying their house there in 1959, and permanently moving there in 1962, shortly after I was born.

What do you do for fun? We love all the parks. is our favorite, the mini golf, aquatic center, free concerts, and just walking the many paths.

Tell me about your family. Do you have any children or grandchildren? I am married to my wife Liz, and we have two grown children. My son Thomas is 22 and works at the Levittown Animal Hospital and the Regal Movie Theatre in Westbury, and my Daughter Carol-Anne is 24, a graduate of SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and works as a Teacher/Naturalist for the Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary in Oyster Bay.

What are your favorite places in East Meadow? Besides all of the Firehouses, I love and The , my two favorite places to eat! Hey do I get any coupons for that free plug!

Finish this sentence. You know you’re from East Meadow when... You have spent summers at and Winters Sledding in Eisenhower, have had a slice at , and have been to the Memorial Day Parade. Also, if you have lived here long enough you can remember when TD Bank was a movie theatre, ate at Dave Shore’s, and Jahn’s, and hung out on Friday and Saturday night’s at the Roller Rink, all long gone now, but not forgotten by long time East Meadow Residents!
