4.Two men arrested on attempted robbery charges in a McVey Elementary School incident: Two men were arrested for an attempted robbery that occurred at the school earlier this month. One of the men allegedly displayed a badge and identified himself as a Nassau County Police Officer as he demanded items from the victim.

2.Residents opposed a proposed taxi dispatch center in East Meadow: More than 60 residents attended a community meeting at Nassau University Medical Center where they spoke out against a proposed taxi dispatch center on Clearmeadow Drive and Hempstead Turnpike. The potential buyer of the property withdrew his application from the Town of Hempstead Board of Appeals after hearing the concerns of the community.
